The Leukemia and Lymphoma Centeris one of the nation’s largest and most technically advanced referral centers for patients with leukemia, lymphoma and related disorders. The Liver Tumors Programis a globally recognized center and a leader at the forefront of providing innovative surgical and medical therapies. Our experts treat patients newly diagnosed with rare liver tumors and also those in the advanced stages of disease or who require liver transplants.
The Neuroblastoma Advanced Therapies Centeris run by national leaders who create new studies and approaches to target and kill neuroblastoma cells. The team provides expert, multidisciplinary care for children with newly diagnosed and relapsed or refractory neuroblastoma.
The Neurofibromatosis (NF) Programis one of the largest in the nation and helps those affected by the different types of NF through comprehensive diagnosis, treatment and research for these conditions. Our team’s research led to the first FDA approval of a therapy for children with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and inoperable plexiform neurofibromas.
The Retinoblastoma Programincludes specialists in cancer, ophthalmology, neuro-interventional radiology and neurosurgery. The team uses a collaborative approach, innovative technologies and breakthrough therapies to provide care.
The Sarcoma Programis a national leader in providing advanced therapies for children with tumors of the bone and soft tissues. Some of our patients have newly diagnosed sarcomas, while others come to Cincinnati Children’s seeking novel therapies for recurrent, rare or treatment-resistant sarcomas.

Fewer than half of young cancer patients are offered fertility preservation. Our team focuses on your child’s future from the start. We believe that fertility is an important aspect of medical care for every patient, and it requires consideration even during childhood.
Our Fertility Care & Preservation Program provides the most advanced technologies, including freezing and storing eggs or ovarian tissue for later use for females, and freezing and storing testicular tissue or sperm for males. This team meets with patients whose treatment regimens place them at risk for fertility complications in the future. By educating patients and families early on about the fertility risks of their diagnosis and treatments, they can determine if fertility preservation is available and right for them. We help the patient and family to understand the strengths, limitations, successes and science behind each option.
Thanks to modern cancer treatments, more children survive cancer than ever before. In fact, at Cincinnati Children’s we believe survivorship starts the day a child is diagnosed; every treatment plan aims to help children live with—and beyond—their cancer. That’s why our Cancer Survivorship Center provides specialized medical care and psychosocial support to childhood cancer survivors continuously and without interruption through adulthood.
Cincinnati Children’s established the program 30 years ago as one of the first of its kind in the country. The center serves children and adult survivors who range in age from 5 to more than 65 years old. It is a national leader in the development of innovative approaches to provide care, research and education to this growing population.
